Marion "Dolly" C. (Harrington) Stefanick

Marion "Dolly" (Harrington) Stefanick, 97, of Uxbridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 12, 1928, in Whitinsville, Massachusetts to Dennis and Marion (Holden) Harrington.

Dolly was educated in Uxbridge Public Schools and St. Mary Academy/Bayview Catholic School in Riverside, Rhode Island and graduated from St. Mary High School in Milford, Massachusetts. She began her career at the former Uxbridge Worsted Company, dedicating her early years to the workforce before marrying and focusing on her family, which was always at the heart of her world.

She married Mitchell F. Stefanick, who predeceased her, along with their son Mike Stefanick, and her siblings Dennis, Bill Harrington, and Mickey O'Donnell.  Marion is survived by her children: Kathy Desjardin and her husband Don; Tom Stefanick and his husband Rick Garcia; and Bob Stefanick; grandchildren: Tanya, Dan and his wife Christine, Joe, Andrew and his fiancée Colleen, Katelyn, Brittany, and Lisa; great-grandsons Mason and Nolan; and many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong member of St. Mary Church in Uxbridge, Dolly's faith played a fundamental role in her life.  Her hobbies included reading, reciting poetry, and solving crossword puzzles. She was known for her remarkable memory for special dates, never missing a chance to celebrate birthdays and holidays with her loved ones.  Dolly especially treasured family dinners around the table, where she could engage in her favorite pastime of conversation.

Family was the cornerstone of Dolly's life.  She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to family, her kind heart, and her nurturing spirit.  Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.  

Dolly's funeral service is private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary's Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge, MA 01569; Uxbridge Fire Department, Ambulance Fund, 31 South Main St., Uxbridge, MA 01569; or to Notre Dame Hospice & Palliative Care, 555 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.
